Truckers, neighbours pool in to entertain Khali, guests

Nahan May 20 (UNI) The tiny Himachal village Dhiryana, eagerly waiting to welcome the WWE Wrestler Dilip Singh Rana a.k.a 'Great Khali', tomorrow, would have found it hard to cater to its famous son's mammoth entourage, but for the spirit of cooperation and love extended by neighbouring villagers and Khali's fans.

Two truck operator Unions would be providing free water to guests in the water-starved under-developed Dhiryana village in Shillai tehsil of Sirmaur district, said villagers and family member of Great Khali waiting his arrival for the last about three years.

The younger brother of Inder Rana of Great Khali, chilhood friend member Zila Parishad Jitender Rana and Panchayat Pradhan Shila Devi said that the arrangements of more than 5000 guests and visitors in small village would be a tough job as their sitting and meal arrangements would have to be made in open fields.

They said that the only big building in the village is a school in which hardly 200 persons could be accommodated.

However, they hope as everything will go off well as the villagers of entire area had extended their services to serve the guests of Khali.

The Kamrau Truck operator Union Sirmaur and Prem Builders from Chandigarh will make round the clock water supply as inhabitants of Khali's village usually carry water from villages Shadoi and Saniyal about three km.

The local MLA from Shillai Harash Wardhan Chauhan was also extending full support to remove the problems to make the function successful.

The house of Great Khali has also been renovated for his stay,in view of his height and build.
