R Sekar, new Chennai Police Commissioner
Chennai, May 20 (UNI) Chennai Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) R Sekar was today posted as the new City Police Commissioner.
Mr Sekar succeeds Mr G Nanchil Kumaran, who is due to retire by the month-end on attaining superannuation, official sources here said.
In a significant development, the Tamil Nadu Government removed Additional Director General of Police S K Upadhyaya from the post of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) chief and appointed Director General of Police (Training) K Natarajan in his place.
