Jewellery worth Rs 18.52 lakh stolen from shop

Nashik, May 20 (UNI) Six miscreants, including three women, robbed jewellery worth Rs 18.52 lakh from a shop in the city.

Police said the six entered the J M Jewellers, a shop in Sarat Bazar area of the city, yesterday.

They demanded to see ornaments and while pretending to choose the jewellery, made away with a box containing 140 ''mangalsutras'' worth Rs 18.52 lakh.

The theft was discovered after the six had left the shop, police said adding a complaint has been lodged with the Sarkarwada police in this regard.
