UP: Devotees at Kapilvastu on Buddha Purnima

Siddharthnagar, May 20 A large number of devotees today paid obeisance to Gautam Buddha on the occassion of Buddha Purnima at his birth place Kapilvastu here.

Buddha followers congregated here to take 'parikrama' and offer prayers to the Buddha stupa.

'Baudh bhikshu' from the neighbouring countries of Srilanka, Nepal, Myanmar and all over the world thronged the place to perform prayers and take 'parikrama' of the stupa.

Buddha society here had also organised 'deepawali' on the auspicious occassion.
