Pondy: Uni Data Entry operator found dead

Puducherry, May 20: A 31-year-old Data Entry operator of the Pondicherry Central University was found murdered at Kalapet, near here, today. According to police, the body of V Jayaraman of Periyakalapet, was found in a bush near the new jail premises.

Jayaraman went to his jackfruit garden near the new jail premises last night when some persons waylaid him. After tying his hands and legs, they stranglad him and threw his body into the bush, police said.

It was Jayaraman, who brought to light, the irregularties in the valuation of examination papers at the university following which he received a threat and lodged a complaint with Kalapet police. He had also allegedly attempted suicide.

Kalapet police recovered the body and sent it to the Government General Hospital for a post-mortem.
