Aircel to launch 'Golden Bat' IPL contest

Chennai, May 20: Leading mobile service provider Aircel, one of the sponsors of Chennai Super Kings team in the ongoing DLF Indian Premier League (IPL) today announced 'Golden Bat' contest for its prepaid customers. Talking to newspersons here, Aircel Director K V P Baskar said the offer was on a season's special Rs 55 'Golden Bat' recharge coupen. The winner of the contest would be gifted a one kilo golden cricket bat worth of Rs 12 lakhs, while 15 second prize winners would get one lakh worth golden bats, 25 third prize winners would get golden bats worth Rs 50,000 each and 50 consolation prize winners golden bats worth Rs 25,000 each, he added.

He said the contest was in line with the promotion of IPL Chennai Super Kings and Aircel association. ''To participate in this contest, prepaid subscribers would have to buy the special 'Golden Bat' recharge coupon, which has a special scratch area alongside the recharge serial number'', he said. ''Lucky subscribers, who scratch to get the word 'PLAY' have to fill in an attached form, which comes along with the recharge card and write a slogan of not more than ten words''.
