Governor, CM greet people on Buddha Purnima

Shimla, May 19 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor V K Kokje and Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today asked the people of the state to follow the teachings of Lord Buddha.

The Governor in his message on the eve of Buddha Purnima said, "Teachings and principles of Lord Buddha hold good even today in the modern world. Relevance of his teachings in present times can provide solutions to problems of modern society".

"The teachings of Lord Buddha were solely to liberate human beings from the misery and sufferings of life. We should follow his teachings by heart," the Chief Minister said.
