TN: 3 of family killed, 2 hurt badly as car hits tree

Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu), May 19: Three of a family were killed and two injured when their car hit a tree at Puduchatram between Cuddalore and Chidambaram in the wee hours today.

Police said the occupants of the car were proceeding to Velankanni from Pondicherry when the accident occurred.

The deceased were identified as Saroja (50), Mary (75) and Panneerselvam (50).

Malini (40) and Nalini (22) suffered serious injuries and were admitted to the Pondicherry General Hospital after first aid at the general hospital here.

The bodies were shifted to the Cuddalore General Hospital for post-mortems, police added.
