Wall collapse incident: Rs 50,000 relief announced for kin of dead

Gurgaon, May 18 (UNI) A compensation of Rs 50,000 each for the families of the deceased and Rs 5,000 each for those injured in the warehouse wall collapse incident last night was announced by Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Gupta today.

Those killed and injured hailed from UP and Bihar and lived in the jhuggis, next to the warehouse.

A case against certain Kalpana Infrastructure has been registered.

Meanwhile, SDM Jai Singh Sanghwan would further investigate and trace the facts, if any, other than heavy duststorm, that led to the collapse of the wall.
