PM visits ailing Surjeet; wishes him speedy recovery
New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today visited CPI(M) veteran leader Harkishan Singh Surjeet at the Metro Heart Hospital at NOIDA, near here, and enquired about his health.
Dr Singh remained in the hospital for nearly ten minutes and wished Mr Surjeet a speedy recovery.
Earlier, Dr Singh's aerial convoy, comprising two Air Force helicopters, landed in a stadium near the hospital.
The 92-year-old Surjeet was admitted to the hospital a few days ago for respiratory problems. His condition continues to be critical with doctors declaring that his brain had suffered damage.
