25 prominent citizens to be felicitated

Bhopal, May 18 (UNI) Twenty-five prominent citizens, including Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh, Rail Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and BJP leader Sushma Swaraj would be publicly felicitated on the occasion of silver jubilee celebration of the Madhaveao Sapre Samachar Patra Sangrahlaya and Shodh Sansthan here.

Madhya Pradesh Culture Minister Lakshmikant Sharma told a press conference here that 25 people from various fields would be felicitated during the three-day programme beginning on June 21.

Mr Singh and Ms Swaraj have been selected for their contribution to public service, while Mr Yadav has been selected for skilled public communication.

Others include former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and India's first woman IPS officer Kiran Bedi.

Mr Sharma said two media seminars on topics related to media's future and future media and media, language and literary subjects has been organised.
