People benefitting from government schemes: Chouhan
Barwani, MP, May 17 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said poor people, including women and students, were receiving direct benefits of government schemes due to proper implementation.
While addressing 'Panch Sarpanch' convention at Jalgon in Anjad assembly segment in this district, Mr Chouhan referred to various development schemes started by the government in this regard.
He laid foundation of 51 works to be executed at a cost of Rs 37 crore including irrigation and road development projects. Besides, he made announcements of formation of Anjad tahsil, forming Theekri Nagar panchayat and developing birthplace of Sant Singaji at Khajoori as pilgrim spot.
He made several other announcements on public's demand.
The Chief Minister distributed fixed deposit certificates to three girls under the Ladli Lakshmi Scheme on the occasion.
