Man arrested for defaming Mahatma Gandhi through Orkut
Pune, May 17 (UNI) Rahul Krishna Kumar Vaid, who was arrested in Haryana for circulating defamatory articles against Mahatma Gandhi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on the Orkut website, was brought to the city today.
A case was registered against Vaid in this regard last year.
The city police, after launching an extensive search, nabbed the culprit in Haryana.
Deputy Police Commissioner Rajendra Singh, while confirming the arrest, said that the accused has confessed to the crime. Vaid was produce before the sessions court that remanded him to police custody till May 21.
