Hebri town observes bandh against Naxalite killings
Hebri (Udupi) May 17 (UNI) Hebri town here today observed total bandh protesting against the killing of Bhoja Shetty and Suresh Shetty by the naxalites on May 15 night at Seethanadi near here.
The bandh call given by local unit of Bajrang Dal received good response. All shops and hotels in the town were closed. However, the bandh did not affect the transport. The Bajrang Dal had demanded that the administration should arrest the culprits who connived with the naxalites.
Meanwhile, the local Congress workers have condemned the police action of taking innocent people into custody. The workers demanded that they should arrest the culprits involved in the incident.
