Day temperatures rise, night temperatures fall in HP
Shimla, May 17 (UNI) Day temperatures across Himachal Pradesh rose marginally today following clear blue sky, while night temperatures fell following mild intermittent rainfall during the last 24 hrs.
The day temperature in this famous hill state's capital rose by a degree to 26.6 degrees as against 25.5 degrees recorded yesterday, the met office said.
The maximum temperature at Sundernagar also rose by more than a degree to stand at 35.6, while Bhuntar recorded a day temperature of 29.8 and Dharamshala 32.8 degree Celsius.
The met office said the maximum temperature at Kalpa stood at 22.5 degrees as compared to 21.9 degree Celsius recorded yesterday.
The minimum temperature at Shimla town fell by about three degrees to 13.1 degrees following three mm rain, while it fell by four degrees at Sundernagar to stand at 14.5 after eight mm rains, the met office said.
Bhuntar recorded the maximum decline of five degrees in the night temperature, which stood at 10.8 degrees.
The night temperature in the tourist resort of Dharamshala stood at 18.1, while Nahan recorded 24.6 and Una town 18 degree Celsius.
The met office has forecast rain, thundershowers followed by hail at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
