Miscreants open fire before the house of slain shoe baron

Jamshedpur, May 16 (UNI) Two miscreants opened fire in front of the house of slain shoe baron Ashish Dey at Sakchi area here today.

Police said two gunmen came in a scooter and fired around twelve rounds which hit the door and some parts of the wall of the house.

But no one was injured in the firing.

A security guard, who was on duty during the incident, escaped narrowly, police said and added security was beefed up in and around the house.

East Singhbhum Superintendent of Police Naveen Kumar Singh visited the spot.

No one was arrested in connection with the incident, police said.

Dey was gunned down near his house on November 2 last by some two-wheeler borne gunmen.

The police have been investigating the case and a number of suspects, including a hotelier and some notorious criminals were arrested.

Signifincantly,despite conducting narco tests and brain mapping of some of the criminals no breakthrough was achieved so far.

The hotelier was taken to Bangalore for narco test yesterday, police said.
