Husband gets ten years RI in dowry death case
Patna, May 16: A fast track court here today awarded ten years' Rigorous Imprisonment to a person in a dowry death case.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs five thousand against the convict.
Fast track court judge Ajit Kumar Sinha found Sanjay Kumar Singh, alias Pramod Kumar Singh, guilty under section 304-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
According to the charges Sanjay's wife Mandakni, alias Sita, was found dead under suspicious condition at her in-laws' house under Shastri Nagar police station area here on November 4, 2004. Earlier she was subjected to cruelty by her husband for dowry.
