Edelweiss Capital Q4 net up 88.5% to Rs 10.01 cr

New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) Edelweiss Capital today said its net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 increased 88.5 per cent to Rs 10.01 crore as compared to Rs 5.31 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

The company said in a statement that its total income for Q4FY08 stood Rs 71.20 crore as against Rs 20.19 crore for the same period a year ago, recording growth of 252.6 per cent.

Edelweiss net profit for the year ended March 31, 2008 grew 6.35 per cent to Rs 28.78 crore whereas it was Rs 27.06 crore last fiscal.

The company's FY08 total income increased nearly 149 per cent to Rs 187.66 crore from Rs 75.37 crore last fiscal.

The Group's net profit after minority interest for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 witnessed a hike of 120.8 per cent to Rs 82.55 crore as against Rs 37.38 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The Group's total income for Q4FY08 increased 198.6 per cent to Rs 405.78 crore from Rs 135.88 crore in the same period a year ago.

The Group's net profit after minority interest for the year ended March 31, 2008 stood at Rs 273.24 crore as against Rs 109.89 crore last fiscal, recording a jump of 148.6 per cent.

Its FY08 total income grew 192.8 per cent to Rs 1,088.86 crore from Rs 371.76 crore last fiscal.
