Composite index of metals and energy up

Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) The composite index of metals and energy rose by 2,994.84 points at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) here today.

Agri gained marginally by 0.14 pc at 1380.02 points.

Gold December 08 contract advanced by 1.08 pc at Rs 12252 per 10 grams. Gold August 08 contract and gold June 08 contract advanced 1.04 pc each at Rs 12206 and Rs 12175 per 10 grams respectively.

Silver contracts too, recorded gains with Silver July 08 contract up by 1.25 pc at Rs 23392 per kg and silver August 08 contract gained 1.27 pc at RS 23557 per kg.

Copper August 08 contract gained 1.49 pc at Rs 351.95 per kg, lead May 08 contract by 1.25 pc at Rs 97.55 per kg, zinc May 08 contract by 2.69 pc at Rs 99.25 per kg.

All crude oil contracts gained including July 08 contract, up by 2.87 pc to Rs 5308 per barrel.

Cardamom July 08 contract was up by 1.24 pc to Rs 613.50 per kg.

Menthaoil May 08 contract by 1.44 pc at Rs 479.10 per kgs.

Crude oil June 08 contract was up 2.97 pc at Rs 5333 per barrel, a MCX release said.
