33 injured as fire breaks out at garments shop in Sodepur
Sodepur, May 16 (UNI) At least 33 persons, including four women, were injured today when a devastating fire broke out in a readymade garments shop at the Sodepur Station road under Khardah police station of North 24 Parganas district.
Belghoria Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ashok Ray said seven fire tenders managed to bring the flames under control.
The injured persons were admitted to a nearby local hospital, the SDPO said.
The exact cause of the blaze and the extent of the damage could not yet be ascertained.
