Vodafone offers STD, Local calls @ Re 1 per minute

Ahmedabad, May 15: Vodafone Essar, one of India's leading cellular service providers, today launched a new scheme for its customers, which enables them to make calls anywhere in India whether local or STD at Re 1 per minute.

The service is available to both prepaid and post-paid customers at a monthly rental of only Rs 31. Vodafone Essar now has operations in 16 circles covering 86 per cent of India's mobile customer base, with over 45.78 million customers.
