Tension in Pondy as youth is attacked by gang

Puducherry,May 15(UNI)Tension prevailed at Uzhavarkarai, near here, tonight as a youth, reportedly a member of the slain Desthan's group, was hacked by a rival gang.

According to police,the youth was attacked by six persons causing injuries and admitted to the government general hospital.

Following this, residents from Uzhavarkarai Area resorted to road blockade and pelted stones at vehicles shattering windscreens of two buses and an equal number of lorries.Police intervened and pacfied them.
