Position surveillance equipment in all vulnerable places: Sangliana

Bangalore, May 15 (UNI) BJP Lok Sabha Member and former DGP, H T Sangliana today said surveillance equipment should be installed in all key religious and public places to detect acts of terrorism like the one in Jaipur two days ago.

Speaking at a function he said he would introduce a private bill in the Lok Sabha making it mandatory for the state and the Union governments to take such a step.

''In the wake of increased terrorist attacks in the country, it is imperative that such equipment is installed in all such places so that the images of trouble makers could be recorded,'' he said.

He said the city, being the IT capital of the country, had been exposed to terrorist threats and extra measures had to be placed with immediate effect. ''We need to be prepared for terror threats like the one in Jaipur,'' he said.
