National Wildlife Authority clear road project in J and K
Srinagar, May 15 (UNI) The National Wildlife Authority (NWA) has cleared a road project in Jammu and Kashmir, Minister for Forest and Environment Qazi Mohammad Afzal said.
Concluding his five-day tour to inaccessible areas of Dachhan Kishtwar in Jammu region on foot, he said the NWA has accorded no-objection for execution of road project from Ratnihal to Nawapachi Marwah.
The work on the road would be taken up now, he added.
He said for the construction of Pauldul and Busar Hydro Electric Project, the National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) would provide Rs 236 crore.
Rs 100 crore would be spent for conservation of wildlife and welfare of the people living nearer to Wildlife area of Dachhan Kishtwarm he announced.
