Betiah, May 15: Train services have been disrupted after Proscribed CPI (Maoist) guerillas blew up a portion of track between Ghorasahan and Jaymurtinagar station on Sitamarhi-Narkatiaganj section of East Central Railway (ECR) late last night.

The explosion was triggered at around 0300 hours. However there was no report of any casualty so far, railway police sources said here today.

A major damage was also averted, as no train was to pass through the area after the mishap, sources added.

Meanwhile, the railway engineers and technical staffs have reached the spot to repair the damaged tracks.

The rebel outfit had given a 24-hour North Bihar 'bandh' call since last night against the alleged police excesses in the state.
