KC(M) demands judicial probe into SSLC exam results
Kochi, May 15 (UNI) Kerala Congress (M) leader and former state Minister K M Mani today demanded a judicial probe into the alleged manipulation of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) results announced recently.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Mani alleged that the results had been 'manipulated' at the instance of Education Minister M A Baby and demanded that Mr Baby be kept out of the ministry pending judicial inquiry report.
He alleged that there was a conspiracy to deliberately increase the pass percentage of the SSLC examinations to show the LDF government in good light.
Citing examples from question papers and evaluation keys, Mr Mani alleged that evaluators had been instructed to give marks even for incorrect answers.
In some instances, wrong questions were asked and 'free marks' given for those questions, he said.
Terming the two-year rule of the CPM-led LDF government as a 'dark chapter in Kerala's history,' he alleged that the government had failed to do anything in different sectors such as finance, health and education.
A record pass percentage of 92.09 per cent was registered in the SSLC examinations in Kerala this year.
