Govt approves NCL's thermal power project
New Delhi, May 15: Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd (NLC) today said it has received approval from the Union Government for development of 1,000 MW coal-based Thermal Power Project in Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu at a capital cost of Rs 4,909.54 crore.
The project will be developed through the joint venture company 'NLC Tamil Nadu Power Ltd', formed jointly by NLC and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB), a company statement said.
