Gold June 08 contract up by 0.50 pc at Rs 11,877 per ten gm

Mumbai, May 15 (UNI) Gold June 08 contract went up by 0.50 per cent per cent at Rs 11,877 per 10 grams at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) here today.

Gold October 08 contract fell by 0.17 per cent to Rs 11,921 per 10 grams. Silver M February 09 contract shed by 2.98 per cent at Rs 23,106 per kg. Silver July 08 contract was up by 0.43 per cent at Rs 23,015 per kg. Gold Guinea August 08 contract went down by 0.17 per cent at Rs 9,737 per 8 grams, while July 08 contract was up by 0.13 per cent at Rs 9,747 per 8 grams, a MCX release said.

Among the other metals, copper June 08 contract gained by 1.14 per cent at Rs 345.95 per kg, aluminum June 08 contract by 3.46 pc at Rs 127.05 per kg. However, zinc July 08 contract fell by 0.30 per cent to Rs 98.25 per kg.

In the energy CFI December 08 contract improved by 1.85 per cent to Rs 1648.50 per tonne. All crude oil contracts also gained, including August 08 contract that gained by 0.98 per cent to Rs 5,172 per barrel.

Natural Gas June 08 contract advanced by 0.38 per cent at Rs 496.10 per mmBTU.

In the agriclutural commodities, cardamom May 08 contract was up by 2.28 per cent to Rs 650.50 per kg. Sugasklp July 08 contract also gained by 2.41 per cent at Rs 1,490 per quintal. However, menthaoil May 08 contract lost by 1.17 per cent at Rs 472.30 per 10 kgs. Jute May 08 contract also fell by 0.25 per cent to Rs 1,573 per quintal, the release added.
