18 held captive on job's promise

Hardoi, May 15: As many as 18 people, ageing between 15 to 25, were held captive by some conmen in Andhra Pradesh in the name of jobs.

Police today said ''the matter came to fore after some of the youths managed to escape from the clutches of theswindler .

Prior one week, Anees of adjoining Semrava village came with an associate to Lokpur village under Masila police station.

Wherein, he gathered local youth offering them job of Rs 3,000 per month in a new factory being opened in Etah.

At least 18 people including youth and children, who had accepted the offer, were forcefully taken to Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, police has spread a dragnet to arrest the accused.
