Sonia, Patil to visit Jaipur on May 15

Shokhuvi (Nagaland), May 14: Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will visit Jaipur in Rajasthan tomorrow, where the serial blasts yesterday left 63 dead.

Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the Attestation Parade at Assam Rifles Training Centre here under Dimapur district this morning, Mr Patil condemned the ''cowardly'' act in Jaipur and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members of the victims of the serial blasts. He also assured that the Centre would, in all possible ways, help the family members of the blast victims. He said there were certain forces in the country, who are trying to cause trouble, especially on community or religious grounds through violence and threatening to destabilise the government and bring about a turbulent atmosphere within the nation.

The Union Home Minister requested the media to ''write in their papers against such activities'' to alert the people of such forces and maintain a peaceful atmosphere for the all-round development of the country.
