Rs 201 crore calamity relief fund sanctioned for HP
Shimla, May 14 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Revenue Minister Gulab Singh Thakur claimed that Centre has sanctioned additional amount of Rs 201 crore for state under calamity relief fund.
The Minister said the amount would be spend to compensate the losses incurred due to floods during previous years.
Mr Thakur said that most of the population of the state resides in villages and was dependent upon agriculture, therefore proper management of the land and resources should be ensured.
''The field officers had been directed to hold regular revenue camps in order to dispose off cases related to various revenue matters and three months long special campaign had been launched for clearing cases of mutation all over the state,'' he added.
