New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) A short film that captures contrasting life style of children on the streets in the Indian capital has been selected for this year's Cannes film festival.

The film, 'Hum Panchhi Ek Daal Ke', has been selected in the 'Short Film Corner' section of the Cannes Film Festival, an official of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry said here today.

The nine-minute flick, written and directed by Manoj Srivastava and jointly produced by him with Naresh Sain, is mostly a silent film and deals with the life style of street children in Delhi with poise and poignancy.
