ADB sanctions Rs 23.80 cr for south Kashmir road
Srinagar, May 14 (UNI) The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has sanctioned Rs 23.80 crore for a road project in south Kashmir, while NABARD has been approached for Rs 3.56 crore for another project, official spokesman said today.
He said Rs 23.80 crore has been sanctioned by ADB for Pulwama- Newa-Srinagar road in Pulwama district.
Construction work on the road has already been started and would be completed within 18 month under fast track, he added.
It would benefit dozens of villages of twin district of Shopian and Pulwama.
He said a project costing to Rs 3.56 crore for construction of Newa Kultreh- Rabitar Parigam road in the same district have been formulated and submitted to Central government for NABARD funding.
