Election Commissioners meet in Dharwad to review third phase of poll preparations

Bangalore, May 13 : The Chief Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswami and Election Commissioners, S.Y. Quereshi and Navin Chawla met in Dharwad this morning to review preparations for the third phase of polls in Karnataka.

The team met with representatives of different political parties where Deputy Election Commissioner R. Bhattacharya and State Chief Election Officer M.N. Vidyashankar were also present.

The Election Commission team will hold another meeting with deputy commissioners and police heads of concerned districts.

Polling will be held in 69 assembly segments in Belgaum, Bagalkot, Bijapur, Gulburga, Bidar, Gadag, Dharwad, and Haveri district on May 22.
