PWA releases Hindi quarterly "Dahaktey Palash"

Patna, May 12: The Patna chapter of Progressive Writers Association (PWA) released a Hindi quarterly ''Dahaktay Palash'' at the 7th PWA convention.

Releasing the journal, Sahitya Academy award winner poet Arun Kamal said the magazine would be a platform to raise the voice of humanity among various sections of the society for better co-existence and understanding.

Eminent critic Manager Pandey lambasted the government for the ''ill-treatment'' meted out to teachers during their public demonstration. He said instead of showing sympathy to their cause the administration showed ''apathy'' by caning the teachers.

''The government must fulfil their aspirations as they work for the society by educating the younger generation,'' he added.

Several other eminent scholars addressed the convention which concluded in Patna yesterday.
