Liquor worth Rs 14 lakh seized in Karnataka

Davanagere, May 11: Police raided three different places and seized 650 boxes of Indian made foreign liquor worth Rs 14 lakh in this District of Karnataka yesterday.

Police said one person was arrested in this connection and efforts were on to trace a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker, who escaped from Hosakere village in Jagalur taluk.

The liquor was sold, keeping the election in mind, police added.
