All hostages rescued, 2 militants killed in JK

New Delhi, May 11: A team of Border Security Force (BSF) and army men on Sunday killed two terrorists, who taken some villagers hostage in a house in Kali Mandi in Samba, 45 km from Jammu.

Earlier Five people, including a photojournalist and army jawan, were killed in an ongoing encounter between militants and security forces at Kaili Mandi in Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir today.The security forces had managed to rescue three of the four villagers who had been taken as hostage. One of the women hostages was killed during the exchange of fire raising the death toll to five. According to the police, terrorists entered a house in Kali Mandi in Samba, 45 km from Jammu, and opened fire, killing the two occupants - Hoshiar Singh and his wife Shashi Bala. Their daughter Bindu and Singh's mother-in-law were injured in the firing.
