Miscreants robbed Rs 10 lakh

Varanasi, May 9: Unidentified miscreants robbed Rs 10 lakh from a firm's employee in Durgakund area here.

Virendra Singh, working in 'Neelkanth,' was on way to deposit the cash in Bank of Baroda branch under Bhelupura police station yesterday.

Some motorcycle-borne hit on his head from behind and snatched the money bag, sources said.

Meanwhile, Director General of Police Vikram Singh and Home Secretary Kunwar Fateh Bahadur was reviewing the crime situation of the division along with other senior officials.
