CPM blames Govt for water shortage
Shimla, May 9 (UNI) Shimla district committee of Communist Party of India, today condemned the state government and Municipal Corporation (MC) for not supplying potable water in adequate quantity in the town and its adjacent areas.
"There is a acute shortage of drinking water particulary in Shimla town and its outskirts because of laxity on the part of MC, which is not even swinging in action to plug the likeage of supply lines'', secretary Sanjay Chauhan said.
"Instead of streamlining the water supply system in the town and surrounding areas, the government is only involved in mud slinging and accusing former government for its slugishness to carry out Giri Water Supply work on frentic pace," he added.
