Woman drowned, one killed and two injured in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 8 (UNI) A woman drowned while one person was killed and two others were injured in separate accidents in Kashmir Valley overnight, official sources said today.
They said a 45-year-old Hussein Jan drowned in river Qazi Nag in the frontier district of Kupwara.
However, she was immediately rescued and admitted to Tangdar hospital in a critical condition where she died.
In another incident one Abdul Majid Sheikh was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Sonawar on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
He was rushed to hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Besides, one Jamaluddin was injured after being hit by a vehicle at Leh in Ladakh. He was hospitalised.
Meanwhile, a vehicle hit and critically wounded one Shabir Ahmad at Chanapora. He was admitted to Bone and Joint hospital at Barzulla.
