Indian president confers gallantry awards

New Delhi, May 8th 2008: Indian president Pratibha Devisingh Patil on Wednesday, May 7, conferred gallantry awards and other decorations to serving and retired armed forces personnel in New Delhi.

The Defence Investiture award was held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan and was attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Home minister Shivraj Patil, Defence minister A K Antony, senior leader Bharatiya Janata Party leader Lal Krishna Advani.
