Two NIS officials suspended by SAI
Patiala, May 8: In the recent land dispute between the NIS and Motibagh Gurudwara authorities here, two NIS officers have been suspended for negligence of duty by the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
According to NIS authorities, NIS Director (Administration) Radhika Sreeman and Assistant Director (Legal) Mangat Goyal were suspended on May 6. An inquiry against the two officials had been initiated by SAI under the former Director General of SAI Ratan Wattal. According to NIS sources, Mangat Goyal had been in the bad books of SAI over the years because of his "eccentric behaviour", while Radhika Sreeman has shown complacency in sensitive cases, not keeping the Executive Director of the NIS, Laxman Singh Ranawat, updated on matters requiring urgent attention.
