Nuclear deal with US is not dead: Sharma
Mumbai, May 8 (UNI) Union Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma today said the Indo-US civil nuclear deal was not 'dead' and expressed the hope that the government would build consensus with the Left parties.
''No - I am not going to use that word,'' he said while talking to reporters after delivering a speech at a function, organised by Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries, here.
''Nuclear fuel is an important component of Indian fuel basket and we are trying to build a consensus. In the coalition era, negotiations are going on with the Left partners to build consensus,'' Mr Sharma added.
