Haryana Haj panel invites applications for pilgrimage

Chandigarh, May 8 (UNI) The Haryana State Haj Committee has invited applications for Haj-2008 from the members of the Muslim Community in the state by May 31.

Stating this here today, Committee Chairman Azad Mohammad said a sum of Rs 10,700 had to be deposited along with the application in the current account number 30361856116 of Haj Committee, India, Mumbai through Core Banking System as per the new procedure of payment adopted by the Committee, Mr Mohammad said.

As many as 17 photographs having white background and the paying slips of amount deposited through Core Banking System had to be submitted along with the applications.

He said the information regarding the pilgrimage had been made available on the website of the Haj Committee, India, Mumbai at www.hajcommittee.com.

The person applying for the Haj 2008 should go through the guidelines thoroughly to avoid any mistake in the application form. In case the application was not filled properly, it would be cancelled.

He said the applications should be sent to Chief Executive Officer, State Haj Committee, Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh by May 31. Applications received after due date would not be considered, he added.
