A regional group called 'Sarva Seva Sangh' joined with Bahuguna in the march from Bodh Gaya to New Delhi with the objective of spreading awareness about the dangers of the nuclear deal among the public. " There are political parties who just make noise by talking about themselves during election time. But the fundamental questions, matters related to the country's identity and those related to the cultural ethos of the country remain unanswered," said Bahuguna. Supporters say it would help to supply India's growing energy needs and mitigate against greenhouse gas emissions.

"We want to spread the message that the tall claims made regarding the Indo-US nuke deal are all false. There is talk about the need for more electricity supply and the agreement being able to fulfill the requirements. This is like hiding the truth from the general public," said Ramchandra Rahi, an activist. The activists said the Indo-US nuclear deal would be disastrous for India, as it will cause more problems than solving anything. The march will conclude at Rajghat in New Delhi on May 20.
