Cheema challenges Khali in bout
Patiala, May 8: Former junior world champion and Rustam-e-Hind, Palwinder Singh Cheema today stated that he would give Rs five lakh to Dalip Singh Rana, known as the 'Great Khali' if he defeats him in a wrestling bout.
"I will give Rupees five lakh from my pocket if the 'Great Khali' defeats me in a wrestling bout as per the FILA rules, besides i will surrender the Rustam-e-Hind title," Cheema said while talking to UNI. Cheema said that Khali, the famous WWE grappler is merely a showman and not strictly a wrestler and that is why he had not accepting his challenge. Cheema's father, Sukhchain Singh Cheema, former national wrestling champion, also maintains that Khali was simply a stuntman and hardly knew the basics of wrestling, and that was why he was not coming forward to accept Palwinder's challenge.
Cheema had thrown an open challenge to Khali a few days back.
However Khali is yet to respond to the challenge.
