Army chief visiting Kashmir tomorrow

Srinagar, May 8 (UNI) Chief of the Army staff General Deepak Kapoor is arriving here tomorrow on a three- day visit, a defence ministry spokesperson said here today.

Gen Kapoor will be accompanied by his wife Kirti Kapoor, President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) .

The Army Chief is scheduled to dedicate Baghbela hostel in Tangdhar to the people tomorrow and thereafter visit various functions involved in counter infiltration and counter insurgency operations and review the situation.

Gen Kapoor will be briefed by the commanders at various levels and assess the security situation on the Line of Control (LoC) and hinterland in the valley.

Ms Kapoor is scheduled to review various AWWA activities and visit few Army Goodwill Schools.
