AIADMK candidate Pugazhendi releases affidavit to woo voters
Bangalore, May 8 (UNI) The AIADMK candidate contesting the May ten election from Shanthi Nagar Assembly Constitutency in the city Va Pugazhendi has come out with a sworn affidavit to woo the voters.
In the affidavit, copy of which was released to the press here today, he said he was contesting the election as per the direction from AIADMK party supremo J Jayalalithaa. He claimed that he was contesting the election with the motive of rendering his services in a more sensible way suiting the present era and scenario, rather than making any false promises.
He assured the people of Shanthi Nagar Constituency that if he was elected, he would solve major burning issues on priority basis.
The issues he covered in the affidavit, among other things, included, providing drinking water to all houses, digging of bore wells, construction of 'samudhaya' bhavans, health and first aid centres and also maternity homes, immediate issue of possession certificate to all slum dwellers, provision of 24 hours power supply by installing generators, immediate distribution of free Yellow Ration cards for the poor and to the BPL families.
Mr Pugazhendi said ''if I fail to render the services assured above after getting elected as MLA of Shanthi Nagar, I shall be answerable to the general public in the Constitutency.'' UNI MSP RM MSJ HT1750
