Three held for planning abduction of businessman in Delhi

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) The Delhi Police today said they have apprehended three people who were planning to kidnap a businessman having several petrol pumps and other ventures in the national capital.

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police arrested three people -- Manoj (manager of one of the petrol pumps owned by the businessman), Yogender Malik and Roop Chand -- from Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar in the national capital on May 5.

However, their two associates -- Sachin and Mannu -- were absconding and efforts have been launched to nab them.

They were making preparations to kidnap the businessman and commit robbery in the petrol pumps owned by him.

Police have registered a case and started investigations.
