Quality Council of India enters into MoU with GLOBALGAP

Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) The Quality Council of India (QCI) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GLOBALGAP of Germany for establishing National Technical Working Group (NTWG) in India.

According to the MOU, both the partners will work towards dealing with matters related to agricultural production, as per requirements of GLOBALGAP in keeping with Indian conditions and benchmarking IndiaGAP with GLOBALGAP.

The MoU was signed by QCI General Secretary Girdhar J Gyani and Managing Director of GLOBALGAP, Dr Kristian Moeller, at a conclave here, during the second and concluding day of the Food Forum India global convention.

GLOBALGAP is a private sector body that sets voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products across the globe.
